Cannot choose a skin for VLC (skinned) from settings

This has been happening for months already, when I try to select a skin for VLC, the "choose..." button does nothing.

This only happens with VLC from Arch repos, not with the flatpak version. I tried testing on linux mint own repos on my mint PC to compare and this doesn't happen, so it's isolated to Arch Linux native package version of VLC.
if possible, I would like someone to report this to the VLC package maintainer.

the affected VLC version is 3.0.22-3, while the flatpak version of VLC that doesn't has this issue is 3.0.23

I'm using KDE plasma, and I'm fully updated, at the time I'm writing this.

Make sure the optional dep https://archlinux.org/packages/extra/x8 … ui-skins2/ is installed.

thanks, that fixed it. now I can select skins without problems. now I finally can remove the flatpak version of VLC and use the native package.
