Is anyone experiencing baffling tray icon behaviour in Plasma 6.7?
You quit an app now and its tray icon remains for an indeterminate period.
Update: eventually the icons go away (can be up to 2 minutes, sometimes much less)
Edit: re-factored the question, it seems to be a bug

Probably related to the new "Background Apps" support? Which seems to be a flatschpak way of implementing things that have been possible for eons but not the flatschpak way, is flatpak installed? I could see something trying to query some flatpak integration and that running into a timeout or so. But yeah most likely a bug.

Yeah, like "running in background" has been an option forever in Flatpak, but something is off right now.
For example, I ran my Teams flatpak, you get a tray icon, then I quit Teams, checked "flatpak ps" to make sure it had quit, and the icon stayed in the tray for like 20 minutes.
It's hard to determine, both flatpak and KDE have both had recent updates.
Just trying to find some common ground with others that might be seeing this.
