I use a lot kghostview for reading pdfs, with AL with the default kde 3.2.1 it doesn't work, changing the default config file fixes that:
FILE: ~/.kde/share/config/kghostviewrc
(...)
[Ghostscript]
Antialiasing arguments=-sDEVICE=x11 -dTextAlphaBits=4 -dGraphicsAlphaBits=2 -dMaxBitmap=10000000
GS Version=
Interpreter=/usr/bin/gs
Non-antialiasing arguments=-sDEVICE=x11
Redetection Counter=2(...)
Also we will need to install ghostscript.[/b]

does it make a difference from
Interpreter=gs
to
Interpreter=/usr/bin/gs
?
the thing is, that ~/.kde/... files are generated not with the installation, but when you first start the app in kde in most cases
The impossible missions are the only ones which succeed.
