I have trouble getting my IPP Everywhere Canon 7650i printer to print after all. The printer is connected via usb cable and recognized correctly in driverless mode.
Installed packages are: avahi cups cups-pdf system-config-printer ipp-usb
Avahi and cups sockets are activated.
Now when i enter Plasma’s 6.7.0 systemsettings/printer and click to print a testpage, nothing happens (but listed finished print jobs).
I already tried with installing and configuring nss-mdns (systemd-resolved is disabled) without success.
What am i missing?

Do you have ghostscript installed?
It's an optional dependency for cups-filters.

Thank you for taking time to answer.
Yes i have it installed, as it is needed by cups-pdf.

What is the printer url?
Do you have any logs in /var/log/ipp-usb/ ?
Does IPPe work via ethernet (wired or wifi doesn't matter)?

This is a printer w/ network support?
Remove the cable, make sure the printer gets a lease in your LAN and then just add the printer as before (just this time via some ipp:// URI
Afaict ipp-usb should™ also be using ipp://localhost: - the one you posted looks more like a regular ppd based printer.
Where does the uri come from?
