Error while initializing the sound driver

Hi,
I have problem with my sound card on Notebook (ESS Technology ES1969). KDE writes me this message: Device /dev/dsp cant be opened (No such device or directory).

And file /dev/dsp really doesnt exist.
How can I make it work?
