what is Xlibre in comparision to x11?

I want to switch from wayland to x11, from the arch wiki there's https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/List_o … ay_servers
what's the difference between all these display managers ?
I'd like advice on how to choose and how to learn.

A fork of Xorg that is tear free by default, supports client isolation and fixes several upstream bugs.

Xephyr is a nested X11 server and only relevant for specific tasks, arcan is a browser for different webs
You choose what works best for you - you can also (maybe w/ the exception of X11/Xlibre) install several ones and try around.
nb. that xlibre is not in the repos and you'll have to build it, so if you want to figure whether X11 generally serves you better you'd maybe start w/ Xorg and only switch to xlibre if you figure that it provides relevant advantages.

"Display managers" are things like SDDM, GDM and lightdm and completely unrelated.

So X11 is the protocole, Xorg is one of the implementations while a display manager is nothing more than a login program that helps trying many installed window managers.

Arcan is a lot more then a browser.
