not possible to flag packages "out-of-date" anymore?

Hi all,

it seems that it is not possible to flag any package as "out-of-date" anymore.
I am referring to the official package search: https://archlinux.org/packages/

Is this some kind of bug? I haven't seen any news about disabling this feature....

No, it's not a bug. That feature has been intentionally removed as out of date packages are now tracked with nvchecker.

Thanks for the list link @progandy. News would have been worthy.

Noticed the Arch kernel is out of date, not flagged, and not in testing... which is almost never.

BumbBuddy prolly missed it due to https://lwn.net/Articles/1081015.

While I don't use the package, I do rebase my config against Arch kernel at some point after each major kernel release, and was planning to build 7.1.3 this morn.

Guess I'll crack open a ticket. Surprised no one has.

Yep, but it was already closed. Users should not report out-of-date packages.

But BumpBuddy hasn't reported Kernel 7.1.3 yet...

For the record, the nvchecker configuration file for this package tracks the Arch Linux fork of the kernel sources at https://github.com/archlinux/linux, which didn't pull the latest 7.1.3 upstream tag yet. So there's no problem with bumpbuddy / nvchecker here.

At least they're aware.

Can't imagine what could have led them to not following upstream for upstream releases, but perhaps this will be addressed.
