Hello,
after updating to Linux 7.1.2, suspend no longer works on my laptop.
When running `systemctl suspend` (or using the desktop suspend shortcut), the screen turns black, the fans continue spinning, and the system becomes completely unresponsive. It cannot be resumed and requires a hard power-off.
System
- Device: TUXEDO InfinityBook Pro 14 Gen10
- Working kernel: linux-lts, linux before 7.1.2
- Failing kernel: since linux 7.1.2-arch3-1 to current 7.1.3-arch1-1
- GPU: AMD Radeon 840M/860M (Krackan), amdgpu
- Sleep mode: only s2idle is available (/sys/power/mem_sleep reports [s2idle])
The last kernel message before the system hangs is always:
PM: suspend entry (s2idle)No further suspend-related messages are logged.
Booting the `linux-lts` kernel on the same system with the same userspace, firmware and configuration restores normal suspend/resume functionality.
Troubleshooting performed
- Verified that linux-lts suspends and resumes correctly.
- pm_test=freezer completes successfully.
- pm_test=devices hangs in exactly the same way as a normal suspend.
- Enabled pm_debug_messages, no_console_suspend, and initcall_debug; the last kernel message is still only: PM: suspend entry (s2idle)

I don't know much about that, but do you suspend on a terminal inside the GUI or on the console, also I would try suspending with root to ensure the problem isn't with user permissions, if these useless trials are really useless check the right stuff from solved threads as you wait for a real answer; https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=296954

Troubleshooting performed
- Verified that linux-lts suspends and resumes correctly.
- pm_test=freezer completes successfully.
- pm_test=devices hangs in exactly the same way as a normal suspend.
- Enabled pm_debug_messages, no_console_suspend, and initcall_debug; the last kernel message is still only: PM: suspend entry (s2idle)

- Workaround: sudo ip link set eno1 down before suspend avoids the hang entirely; with the interface down, suspend/resume works normally even on the bad commit
