[Solved] Issues related to nvidia-580xx-dkms when upgrading system

I have been trying to upgrade my system with 'pacman -Syu', but for the last few days I've been unable to since it fails with an error.
My GPU is a GTX 1060, so I'm using the nvidia-580xx-dkms package from the AUR. Running 'git pull' tells me the package is already up to date.

I'm not sure how to proceed here, so I've just been restoring a snapshot with timeshift for the time being.

That file was present in the headers for kernel 7.0 but appears to have been removed in 7.1 .

The driver needs changes to work with kernel 7.1 .

For temporary solutions you can switch to the linux-lts kernel (its headers still have the file) or keep using the 7.0 kernel .

Please post a comment about this on the aur page for nvidia-580xx-dkms.
in case you don't have an aur account, try emailing the maintainer. (their email address is in the PKGBUILD) .

142 is not current 173.02 is, you do not appear to pull/install the driver update properly

Well, there you go. I could have sworn I had run makepkg after running git pull when the problem first started.
Fixed now!
