VMware-tools problem

Hi  all,

I'm trying to get VMware tools for linux installed on Arch.

I followed this guide here, and I have the networking, graphics and mouse drivers working ok, but the vmware-guestd daemon never starts. I tried adding it's binary path to /etc/rc.local but to no avail... Anyone actually got this running?
