trouble installing nvidia 470xx drivers

hello, i have tried to install nvidia 470xx drivers and it has not worked
yay -S nvidia-470xx-dkms is the command i have ran and
[ebu@ebu ~]$ nvidia-smi
NVIDIA-SMI has failed because it couldn't communicate with the NVIDIA driver. Make sure that the latest NVIDIA driver is installed and running.
is the output of nvidia-smi
i am on the linux-zen kernel and i installed arch using archinstall
