What does the Journal say?
Does it work on any other distro or live boot?

Re: [SOLVED] I cant enable touchpad, i don't know what to do

And yess it works on other distros

Which distro(s), and which kernel version are they running?
Did the touchpad stop working after a recent kernel/driver update? What is the behavior with the `linux-lts` kernel?
Also, could you try booting once w/ `i2c_hid.polling_interval_ms=10` && see if it makes any difference? if not, try `irqpoll` separately

Re: [SOLVED] I cant enable touchpad, i don't know what to do

What kernel version are you currently running on Arch (`uname -r`)?
Also, have you tried booting the `linux-lts` kernel (currently 6.18.41-1)? Since it works on NixOS with 6.18, it'd be useful to know whether the problem is specific to the newer kernel...

yes, it is, but i don't know how to boot with lts kernel, i installed lts kernel and updated grub

sudo grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.conf

I still can't boot perhaps i should try deleting original kernel linux 7.1.5.arch1-2??
edit : i mean it still boots with default linux no result

Nahh, and did you mean that it is not giving time to select linux-lts? try changing to GRUB_TIMEOUT=5 in /etc/default/grub, make sure you dont have GRUB_TIMEOUT_STYLE=hidden un-commented, or change it to GRUB_TIMEOUT_STYLE=menu and re-generate your grub.cfg

Re: [SOLVED] I cant enable touchpad, i don't know what to do

Try the mkinitcpio workaround mentioned in https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=311340

I added some background info to that thread: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php … 3#p2280613

I still can't boot perhaps i should try deleting original kernel linux 7.1.5.arch1-2??

Nahh, and did you mean that it is not giving time to select linux-lts? try changing to GRUB_TIMEOUT=5 in /etc/default/grub, make sure you dont have GRUB_TIMEOUT_STYLE=hidden un-commented, or change it to GRUB_TIMEOUT_STYLE=menu and re-generate your grub.cfg

It works now!!
I'm so happy <3
Thank youuu I would have given up if you hadn't helped ::::)
