I can't change my profile picture.

I am using a GNOME desktop environment. When I go to System > Users and change my profile picture, it just doesn't work and the profile picture is never changed, even with the stock icons.
I checked using systemctl -f and this is the results:
Aug 02 19:03:41 archlinux gnome-control-center[28553]: SetIconFile call failed: GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.Accounts.Error.Failed: creating temporary icon file failed: Read-only file system

this triggers everytime i try to switch the profile picture graphically

as a workaround, i tried
busctl call org.freedesktop.Accounts /org/freedesktop/Accounts/User${UID} org.freedesktop.Accounts.User SetIconFile s /path/to/image.jpg
but it resulted in
Call failed: creating temporary icon file failed: Read-only file system

Re: I can't change my profile picture.

EDIT: I solved it by just updating it. It turns out the accounts-service daemon my Arch installer comes with is extremely old.
