Hello, hope you're having a good day.
I have a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 connected to my monitor with display port. I have the nvidia-580xx-dkms driver package installed, recommended by the Arch wiki for my GPU. I am running KDE Plasma 6.7.3 and KWin with Wayland.
When running fullscreen programs, including YouTube videos on my browser and video games, the screen goes black for roughly 2 seconds and then comes back, like when you switch out of an exclusive fullscreen window on Windows. This most often happens when switching out of fullscreen (doesn't happen every time though), but occasionally happens just when the fullscreen program is running. Sometimes just moving my mouse cursor seems to trigger it. I don't really know how my window manager deals with fullscreen windows, I don't think there is such a thing as exclusive fullscreen here, I think it rather just forces everything to be a borderless fullscreen window.
I have had a thorough look at journalctl -r, and no error consistently appears every time the screen goes black. I have tried reinstalling the nvidia-580xx-dkms package and updating the system, not sure what else I can do so here I am.
Thanks for any help.

Do you get this w/ X11 sessions or other wayland compositors?
