unionfs package is dying
Hey guys,
I just wanted to inform you all that the unionfs package for the stock arch kernel will be going away. It is now impossible to build against 2.6.20 without patching the kernel. I'd suggest not using the stock kernel if you need unionfs. The beyond kernel has unionfs by default.

does the same applies for http://aufs.sourceforge.net/ ? im using beyond kernel so i can't test this atm.

I don't know if AUFS can be built outside the kernel... even if it could, our squashfs package is in the same state - it doesn't function outside the kernel.
