[SOLVED]computer screen frequently goes black

computer screen frequently goes black for about a second from time to time.

Gpu driver is ok. The gpu model is AMD 9070.
[Nanami@Nanami ~]$ sudo pacman -S --needed mesa lib32-mesa xf86-video-amdgpu vulkan-radeon lib32-vulkan-radeon
warning: mesa-1:26.1.5-1 is up to date -- skipping
warning: lib32-mesa-1:26.1.5-1 is up to date -- skipping
warning: xf86-video-amdgpu-25.0.0-1 is up to date -- skipping
warning: vulkan-radeon-1:26.1.5-1 is up to date -- skipping
warning: lib32-vulkan-radeon-1:26.1.5-1 is up to date -- skipping
there is nothing to do

I suspect this might be a resolution issue. When my computer sleeps and the display turns off, the monitor gives a saying: "Current input resolution not supported. Please adjust the resolution and refresh rate to match the monitor's specs."
After the screen goes blank, the system won't wake up at all.
What should i do? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Re: [SOLVED]computer screen frequently goes black

goes black for about a second from time to time

After the screen goes blank, the system won't wake up at all

Which one is it?
When "the system won't wake up at all", can you still switch the VT or reboot using https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Keyboa … el_(SysRq) + REISUB (nb you'll have to explicitly enable that first) ?

Re: [SOLVED]computer screen frequently goes black

my bad,"the system won't wake up at all" is only after computer sleep. The frequent brief black-screen issue only occurs when the computer is running.
I just tried putting the computer to sleep a few more times,The computer didn't have  issue waking up.

Re: [SOLVED]computer screen frequently goes black

The intermittent black screen might just be https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Displa … _Signaling ?
Or does it happen while you type or move the mouse?

Re: [SOLVED]computer screen frequently goes black

The black screen occurs without obvious pattern,It has happened within  a minute of booting up,or while playing games, and watching videos. It has indeed occurred while typing or moving the mouse

Re: [SOLVED]computer screen frequently goes black

Random signal loss could be an underpowered GPU (can stem from dynamic power saving) or interference (ie. the cable) or VRR

xf86-video-amdgpu-25.0.0-1 is up to date -- skipping

xrandr --verbose

Do you get this when running at a lower resoution/frequency?

Re: [SOLVED]computer screen frequently goes black

I tried lowering the frequency from 120Hz to 60Hz, but it didn't help.I haven't tried lowering the resolution yet

Re: [SOLVED]computer screen frequently goes black

I have a dual-boot setup with Windows 11 and ArchLinux, but this issue only occurs on ArchLinux. They are installed on two separate SSDs.

Re: [SOLVED]computer screen frequently goes black

3rd link below. Mandatory.
Disable it (it's NOT the BIOS setting!) and reboot windows and linux twice for voodo reasons.

Is this a notebook (internal panel)?

amdgpu.aspm=0 amdgpu.runpm=0 amdgpu.bapm=0 amdgpu.dcdebugmask=0x812

Re: [SOLVED]computer screen frequently goes black

Sorry for my late reply。I've found the solution.

I changed the monitor's cable from HDMI to DP,then it hasn't blacked out even once these past few days.
Before that, I have tried booting archlinux in LTS and disabled the integrated graphic on the CPU.

Thanks for helping me out so many times!
