[SOLVED] GRUB Bootloader showing TWO Arch Linux Entries

Host: HP Pavilion Laptop 15-cs0xxx
Kernel: Linux 7.1.8-zen1-3-zen

WM: Hyprland 0.56.2 (Wayland)
Font: JetBrainsMono Nerd Font (9pt, Regular) [Qt], JetBrainsMono Nerd Font (11pt) [GTK2/3/4]
Terminal: alacritty 0.17.0
CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-8250U (8) @ 3.40 GHz
GPU 1: NVIDIA GeForce MX130 [Discrete]

( please ask me if any more information is needed )

i installed this with the archinstall script and i had the linux-zen kernel selected

-----> GRUB shows me two menu entries both named the same: Arch Linux
When i use the one on the top, it says KERNEL PANIC and something about tried to mount invalid block (0,0) and VFS
the other menu entry is named the same, doesnt have the arch linux icon and boots just fine

I want to get rid of the the menu entry that does not work

What are the contents of /boot and your ESP?

and please use [code][/code] tags. Also edit your post in this regard.

This is either from 10_linux which explicitly loads a kernel or the uki plugin.
You don't seem to have an actual initramfs, so likely there *is* an UKI.

Rename the explicit entry

hey i deleted the vmlinuz thing in my /boot folder and regenerated the grub config and now i don't see it anymore

EDIT:- I meant i dont see duplicate entries and the one that's there works perfect

No, that's a function of the initramfs differences (and requires explicit menu entries) - it's not a thing w/ UKIs (though I guess on could just build different UKIs for that)
