Wiki pages moved to gitlab .md files ?

Apparently archlinux packaging guidelines are no longer on our wiki pages but stored in "Developer Manual" at manual.archlinux.org .

(wiki search does find them)

The layout is very different and splitting ToC between left and right side of the page makes it harder to find something specific.
There's no sign of an equivalent of talk/discussion pages, how would someone propose changes ?

Why was this not announced somewhere public (like the Forum & Wiki discussion board) and where is info about how to build (clean chroot building) ?

Looks like those are still present, but the go package guidelines are now only in the new location .

I personally neither mind layout nor design (actually looks a bit like the css override I'm using on the BBS )

Left is list of articles, right is sections of the current article - do you mind the column order?
Eg. prefer articles/TOC/article or TOC/article/list ?

Compare the VCS package guidelines wiki-style with the VCS package guidelines manual style .

When I scroll down/up with the wiki style the toc dynamically highlights the chapter/section I'm viewing making it very easy to see what I'm looking at .

On the manual style page I have to look at the left side to see which article I'm viewing. On the right side I can see the chapter/sections that article has but there's no indication which part I'm viewing.
That makes the manual style a lot worse then the wiki style .

I'm aware of stylus and how powerful it is, but am also aware my understanding of CSS is far to low to create something for it.

So the gist is

wiki style the toc dynamically highlights the chapter/section

but that requires javascript (monkey-patched w/ eg. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greasemonkey

The site already uses JS and is apparently build with HUGO which has this documented by every blog under the sun, eg. https://dakotaleemartinez.com/tutorials … -contents/

That's a distinction without a difference when the difference between and article and section of an article is abitrary.

So the edit page link sends you to archlinux gitlab. Once logged in I seem to have edit rights.
