Touchpad lagging with latest kernel

After upgrading to linux 7.2.2.arch1-1, I noticed my laptop (Asus ROG flow z13) running slower and with touchpad mouse pointer is making jumps of about 4 cm on screen, making very difficult to point anywhere. I installed linux-lts to confirm and there is no such issue when running lts kernel.
Is there any known bug related to this?

Same problem continues with 7.2.3 and 7.2.4
Touchpad reacts very slow and in jerky manner. External mouse is also slow and jerky ( less compared to touchpad). lts kernel works fine.

Are there messages in dmesg or the system journal accompanying the lags/jumps?
Can you monitor the same gaps in evtest?

Please provide some oversight of the  hardware (lspci, lsusb, lscpu, libinput list-devices)
Also did you monitor the CPU? Are the lags caused by other (CPU/RAM) constraints?

amdgpu seems to have quite some problems, see https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=314837
evtest aside you could try to run the system on the simpledrm device (software emulation) by blacklisting amdgpu

I did blacklist amdgpu using kernel command line. labwc failed to start without it but I was able to start browser using cage. Mouse worked perfect and there was no lag. I will edit this message to add other details.in few moments ( need to restart with lts kernel)

Does using the sw cursor avoid it?
https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Sway#No_visible_cursor (I assume it will work on the wlr-backed labwc as well)

With current kernel, sw cursor was as jerky as default. With lts it worked fine.

Even keyboard is slow. Input on screen appears delayed after pressing keys.

EDIT2:

Here comes weird part. When I run application with cage, there was no lag and touchpad worked fine. So just to test I started labwc in another tty, and there was no lag. Conclusion, cage does some-thing which makes touchpad and other problems disappear even for labwc running in another tty. If I exit cage, labwc still works fine without any issue.

Note: All this is for 7.2.2 and above kernels. With lts there is no issue running labwc alone.

What about other compositors* or Xorg?
Does this happen on anything *but* labwc?
Does it happen w/ the default labwc config?

* weston, niri, sway, maybe hyprland should have relatively low overhead for testing

So with ~400ms you moved your fingers up and the slightly down but

External mouse is also slow and jerky

able to start browser using cage. Mouse worked perfect

at this point it's unlikely to be the input anyway.

Also the recent amdgpu modules seem to generate some bogus RGB888 or YUV444 signal at least on HDMI (not sure what to make out of Elizabeth's situation - the usb adapter might play a role)
