Hi all,
Getting some broken dependency when I try to update via pacman.
":: installing libpcap (1.10.7-1) breaks dependency 'libpcap=1.10.6' required by lib32-libpcap"
while libpcap is in base, seems like lib32-libpcap comes from the AUR. No idea as to why I have this installed really (maybe something related to steam and vulkan?).
Anyhow, I guess the solution is to replace it with the non-orphan lib32-libpcap-git from the AUR that seems to be 1.10.7-1 ?
How should I proceed to do this the cleanest way possible ?
Thanks for your help.
Update: SOLVED by deleting lib32-libpcap after confirming that no packages depend on it.

Remove lib32-pcap until something breaks. It was dropped from multilib, afaik. Had the same issue, and so far no adverse effect. Probably some leftover from way back when. I haven't tried wireshark since I removed it though

You can check which installed packages require lib32-libpcap by
pacman -Qi lib32-libpcapOr check "Required by" list at https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/lib3 … =1#pkgreqs.
If no installed package requires it, just uninstall lib32-libpcap.
