Since the last system update, steam is only show a black screen

Hi,

Here is my environment :

- Kernel : Linux 7.2.6-arch2-1
- Window Manager: Xfwm4 (X11)
- GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060

Since, the last update of system, when I launch Steam, I had a black screen :

App seem's to work, because if I place the mouse's cursors on menu bar, I can see the cursor change :

Pointer OK

Via the ssys tray icon, I can open Steam Parameters or launch recent game withour problem. Trying Steam Beta : same problem occured/

Fortunately, I can bypass the problem by lauchning steam with a custom parameters (see here : https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Steam# … ory_usage):

/usr/bin/steam -cef-disable-gpu-compositing

Looks like you also have an amd gpu in your system ?

Please post the full outputs of

$ lspci -k
$ vulkaninfo --summary   #comes with vulkan-tools package

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

clean chroot building not flexible enough ?
Try clean chroot manager by graysky

I'm sorry I didn't mention that : I have an Ryzen 9 7900 with amd iGPU !
