Hi I followed the /etc/grub/default wiki and online and I generated a new grub from that. From what I see grub-mkconfig adds perameters to grub.cfg that people don't generally know about. All I need is grub.cfg syntax not generate a grub from /etc/grub/default. So this is my grub.cfg and I'm still not getting the splash image to come up.

Ok well after some research I figured it out. I had to take off .jpg and convert it to .png in GIMP. And this is the comparisons of my grub.cfg from before and after.
