But it might indeed not be supported by the BIOS - we still lack details on that, btw.
From the install iso post the system journal,
sudo journalctl -b | nc termbin.com 9999Offline
i am know searching for something more specific, why did this happen to the desktop in the first place? I have an asus a520-m pro motherboard if that may help you
i will search on how to create a boot entry and try to make grub appear

if that may help you
No, but the journal (or dmidecode) might.
why did this happen to the desktop in the first place?
"Bitchy EFI" - not being able to use the default entry is odd, does the UEFI settings maybe allow to lock the EFI table?

i didn't find anything that might help in the bios settings , it is very basic, I can't even add a custom boot entry nor lock the efi table
for the command you ask for, this is the output:

I don't know what it is but i think you can know see the journalctl of the iso.
Note: sorry for the late reply

On my older HP laptop,
besides "BIOS Setup,"
there is another menu option called "Boot Device Options."
That is the only place where I found GRUB (listed first on my computer).
In "BIOS Setup" > "Boot Options" (legacy enabled), on the other hand, there is a "Boot Order" option, but it only allows to change the order of the physical devices.

there is nothing as such in a520-m pro, i am angry at how few the options are.

Viewing https://download-2.msi.com/archive/mnu_ … 20MPRO.pdf on page 45 I found:
Entering BIOS Setup
Press Delete key, when the Press DEL key to enter Setup Menu, F11 to enter Boot
Menu message appears on the screen during the boot process.
Did you try F11?

OMG it showed grub !!!!
it showed grub, when i clicked it showed a menu like this
GNU GRUB version 2:2.16-1
Minimal BASH-like line edition is supported. For the first word, TAB
lists possible command completions. Anywhere else TAB lists possible
device or file completions. To enable less(1)-like paging, "set pager=1".

i searched how to boot from the grub shell , i initialized the files needed and boom,my ugly as ever sddm screen greeted me. AHHH i am so happy
now the question is how to make this permanent, i won't like to do this everytime i want to boot arch
Offline
i tried changing the order using efibootmgr.....it failed....
I know. Nevertheless, I would take a look at the F11 branch when starting the computer.
Also an activated "fast boot" option can make problems.

Please always remember to mark resolved threads by editing your initial posts subject - so others will know that there's no task left, but maybe a solution to find.
Thanks.

You could make your preferred entries in /etc/default/grub (use the file on your laptop as inspiration) and then "grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg".
