reverting to "C" problems

Hey, when i run firefox i get some weird problem about reverting to "c" locale or something, but then firefox runs anyways, but when i try to run bigger things like gnome or fluxbox, i get worse problems, it doesnt even load.

Gnome

gnome-sessoin: 3651): Gtk-warning**: Locale not supported by C library. Using the fallback "C" locale.
(gnome-session:3651): Gtk-warning**: cannot open display

and

Fluxbox

#startfluxbox
Warning: Failed to set locale, reverting to "C"
Error: couldn't connect to Xserver
Warning: Failed to set locale, reverting to "C"
Error: couldn't connect to Xserver

Anyone know how i can fix this?
Thanks a lot

edit:  I can run gnome-session from inside twm, wich opens very oddly, and still gives all those "C" error lines, but fluxbox doesnt open cuz twm is already running, but i can run fluxbox from just the command line either when not in twm.
i dont get whats going on :S

Re: reverting to "C" problems

Did you configured your locales? Uncomment the ones you need in /etc/locale.gen and run locale-gen

...and then reboot. At least according to this thread:
