Once again, I have tried to open skanpage today and got this error on a freshly updated, then rebooted system:
skanpage: symbol lookup error: skanpage: undefined symbol: _ZN12QPdfDocument6renderEi5QSize25QPdfDocumentRenderOptionsN6QImage6FormatE6QColor, version Qt_6What is going on here? Why does the skanpage package regularly break over the last several years? It's likely that the package needs a rebuild, but why is it not automatically rebuilt when its dependencies are updated like it's supposed to?

https://archlinux.org/packages/extra/x86_64/skanpage/ was rebuilt yesterday (for an upstream udpdate)…
Also Qt is supposed to be ABI stable.
lddtree /usr/bin/skanpagehttps://archlinux.org/packages/extra/x86_64/pax-utils/
pacman -Qs qt6Online
I do have this latest version 26.08.2-1
From my experience, each skanpage update has coin-flip chance of failure.

The error looks more like you're using a dated version of Qt (the https://doc-snapshots.qt.io/qtpdf/qpdfd … tml#render profile got extended in 6.12)

Same error here. skanpage: symbol lookup error: skanpage: undefined symbol: _ZN12QPdfDocument6renderEi5QSize25QPdfDocumentRenderOptionsN6QImage6FormatE6QColor, version Qt_6
Latest Qt, latest Skanpage.

Can also reproduce the issue and confirm that rebuilding in a clean chroot fixes it.
It seems the current package was built against extra-testing (qt6-webengine-6.140.0rc-1 is listed in the .BUILDINFO)
Please open an issue on the gitlab, if you are able.
EDIT: turns out qt6-webengine-6.140.0rc-1 is the problem, it provides /usr/lib/qt6/plugins/imageformats/libqpdf.so which provides that missing symbol
