[SOLVED] zathura

Has anyone else lost blur effects on zathura, zathura-pdf-mupdf, and zathura-pdf-poppler?

wm: hyprland 0.56.2
terminal: foot 1.28.0
zathura: 2026.10.4
girara: 2026.07.18 (runtime: 2026.07.18)
(plugin) pdf-mupdf: (2026.07.18) (/usr/lib/zathura/libpdf-mupdf.so)

This occurred sometime in the past month (don't know exactly when). Blur is working on all my other apps.

The issue is with GTK. To restore blur to zathura, I added the following line to my hyprland configuration file:

hl.env("GDK_WAYLAND_DISABLE","ext_background_effect_manager_v1")
