Hello! So, my first time posting, 'cause I can't get my Arch to work. So, here's my intricate problem:
When I try to install Arch, and boot it with GRUB, it writes something about loading initial ramdisks, and freezes
But this only happens when I use --removable in grub-install command. Else, it doesn't work
When I use archinstall, PC instead freezes on Arch's logo
I struggle on this problem since maybe August, and I still couldn't solve it
I will let you know anything you need: hardware I have, all commands I used, etc. Hope you will help me!

So grub starts the kernel.
Can you boot the system when adding "systemd.unit=multi-user.target nomodeset" to the kernel parameters?
(You can press "e" in grub and edit the commandline)

Sorry for not answering in awhile. I was tackling other problems. So, seth, adding your suggested arguments don't seem to do anything. Arch still freezes after printing:
Booting a command list
Loading Linux linux-lts ...
Loading initial ramdisk ...Offline

Also please post the journal from the install iso,
journalctl -b | nc termbin.com 9999Offline
So, seth. When do I get the journal? At start? After using grub-install and grub-mkconfig? Just before shutting down? Please, clarify, I don't know
EDIT: Also, how do I use termbin.com? I am new to it
EDIT2: Now I understood how to use termbin.com, but I'm still not sure when to check the journal

Since I don't know at what I need to execute journalctl -b, I decided to do it at some time. Here's the link:

Perfect - if there had been preconditions I had mentioned them.
Oct 20 07:10:57 archiso kernel: smpboot: CPU0: AMD A4-7210 APU with AMD Radeon R3 Graphics (family: 0x16, model: 0x30, stepping: 0x1)
Oct 20 07:10:57 archiso kernel: radeon 0000:00:01.0: vgaarb: deactivate vga console
Oct 20 07:10:57 archiso kernel: nouveau 0000:01:00.0: NVIDIA GP107 (137000a1)
Oct 20 07:10:57 archiso kernel: nouveau 0000:01:00.0: [drm] Cannot find any crtc or sizes
Oct 20 07:12:08 archiso kernel: FAT-fs (sda1): Volume was not properly unmounted. Some data may be corrupt. Please run fsck.So hybrid graphics, radeon and nouveau.
First fix the VFAT partition, re-install the kernel and make sure to properly umount the partition.
ls -lR /mnt/boot # archinstall tends to push UKIs, so iff you've used that the initramfs should/would not be thereThen see https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Genera … l_messages again and pair it w/ "systemd.unit=multi-user.target nomodeset maxcpus=0", you can also try "nosmp" instead of "maxcpus=0"
nb. the quotes are just to isolate this here, don't add them to the kernel parameters.

So, seth, I tried a bit of what you suggested, but this doesn't work for now. TBH, I didn't really understand what preconditions you were talking about, I ran command around before shutting down
I don't really understand what "fix the VFAT partition" means. I think I just don't umount them before shutting down, so now I do it with:
umount -a
swapoff /dev/sda2I re-install kernel with:
sudo pacman -S linux-lts Adding suggested arguments don't seem to work. Strangely, even after changing loglevel from 3 to 7, it doesn't print anything new. nosmp version also doesn't so anything

You need to umount sda1 to run fsck, but /mnt/boot needs to be re-mounted before chrooting and re-installing the kernel there.
Installing the kernel (I assume even on the transitional squashfs) on the install iso does nothing and not having the boot partition mounted would install the kernel into the wrong location (the mount point on the root partition)
You are/have been reading/following https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Installation_guide and not some random youtuber?
