* modprobe toshiba_acpi didn't change anything;
* another model - work, https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Toshiba_Satellite_L300; not this model.
These keys do NOT work (in linux; but do in Windows).
They do NOT respond to evtest, xev, or the other thing I forgot its name;
they do NOT produce errors on dmesg or journalctl:
Fn+1, Fn+2, Fn+Z (keyboard backlight)
Fn+F6/F7 (screen brightness)
Fn+F8 (airplane)
The others DO work, surprisingly:
volume, mute, lock, sleep, multi-display, keypad.
AI sent me to reverse engineer the system (which I will do, but later).
Is there another, known solution? I saw there are solutions for other Toshiba model (singular), which doesn't apply here.
p.s. This model is not new, probably 5+ years old.
Thanks!

keyboard backlight often is autonomous, airplane (rfkill) is sometimes.
Does the keyboard backlight work in the UEFI or grub?
They do NOT respond to evtest
Did you check the proper device? Some keys show up isolated.
the other thing I forgot its name
sudo libinput debug-eventsDo they show up in acpi_listen, https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Acpid ?
