CH340C microcontroller not detected

Sorry to revive the thread, mine is ESP32-DOWDQ6-V3 and it has a CH340C chip. when I `dmesg -wH` is not detecting the device. when I run `modinfo ch341` it shows ch341. I think this driver is not working for this device. Is there a way to prove my hypothesis?

Please show full dmesg output after plugging the device.

`modinfo` shows information about a module regardless of any device presence.

Kernel should™ detect any working USB device regardless of driver.
Show output of

$ lsusb -tv

when device is plugged.

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

clean chroot building not flexible enough ?
Try clean chroot manager by graysky

Re: CH340C microcontroller not detected

I think you need to get a driver for ch341 from the AUR.

I may have to CONSOLE you about your usage of ridiculously easy graphical interfaces...

CH340 and CH341 in UART mode work well with standard in-kernel usb-tty driver.
ch341 drivers from AUR are needed for CH341 in I²C/SPI mode to be recognized as linux I²C/SPI controller.
No special drivers needed for userspace tools (eeprom programmers etc) which access CH341 via libusb.
