After a full system upgrade that included Plasma 6.8, booting my computer would lead to a black screen with a text cursor at the top-left. It appears after all the systemd services finish starting and where I'd usually end up at the login screen.
I had to downgrade my system using the Arch Linux Archive to a snapshot from October 15th and am using that now. I tried downgrading plasma-login-manager to 6.7.5 with a 6.8 system, but it made no difference.
I'm using nvidia-open graphics drivers. Please feel free to ask for any additional system information.
Edit: Solved, I had a outdated version of a system package that broke KWin.

Additionally, I couldn't use CTRL+ALT+F1 through F6 to switch TTYs, for whatever reason. I also couldn't use startplasma-wayland, as it would wait for a little before outputting something about shutting itself down.

I've got an AMD Ryzen 5 3600 and an NVIDIA GTX 1650 Super.
2b:00.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation TU116 [GeForce GTX 1650 SUPER] (rev a1)
Subsystem: Micro-Star International Co., Ltd. [MSI] Device 8d95
Kernel driver in use: nvidia
Kernel modules: nouveau, nvidia_drm, nvidiaYes, I could reboot via REISUB.
Looking at it, the greeter or login manager and the plasmashell (when I tried doing startplasma-wayland) kept failing and core dumping
I messed around five times trying to get it to work, here there are sorted from earliest to latest.

I found my issue. It was related to my installation. I had some git version of the kglobalaccel package. Thank you for helping me find it.
kglobalaccel-6.31.0-1 and kglobalaccel-git-6.24.0_r866.g3d96bc7-1 are in conflict. Remove kglobalaccel-git? [y/N]Offline
