Does anyone else have their logon time out on them while they post? If I'm composing a large post, which I review and edit numerous times, It seems that the forums think I have logged off and back in, as when I'm done, new posts are marked as read. This is slightly annoying, just thought I would bring this up, to see If I missed some option somewhere.

No, that's not happened to me, but when making a really long post I usually create the bulk of it in a text editor, then copy/paste it into the forums for any formating that is needed. Works for me...

Edit: you might also look in your profile under Privacy - there's an option there to keep yourself logged in between visits:
Save username and password between visits.
That might help in some way.

I have the same problem as hugin.
I am logged out too quickly when I'm writing a post, and when I come back to the Forum Index page and consult other subjects I've lost the new messages written in bold blue font. It's annoying
Is it possible to have a higher value of idle time before an automatic logout ?
The ozar's answer concerns keeping username and password between visits.
This doesn't prevent the too rapid logout after a too short idle time, which is not an idle time for that matter, because I'm reading long posts or writing an answer.
Please could a moderator give some infos about that ?
Thanks.

I've increased the timeout from 10 min. to 20 min. If it's still too short, let me know.

Thanks Snowman
It'll be more comfortable now.
Could you go up to 30 min for even better comfort ,
It would be nice.
Thanks again.
