I've found that the binary nfc-mfclassic from extra does not work properly, while the one in the orphaned aur package libnfc-git does work as it should.
Basically when writing with a comand like ```nfc-mfclassic w a u cardIwantToCopy.nfd myDumpedCard.nfd``` it only writes the first block of each sector instead of all of them.
It doesnt say any error and fails silently, you can see if you read the card back. I'm using a standard ACR122U nfc card reader.
It seems that a problem that should be fixed in libnfc upstream as the libnfc-git package works perfectly.
It would be great that this is fixed in the extra package which is probably using an unmantained/old fork of the lib repo.

There is no package named "nfc-mfclassic" in the "extra" repository.

Both the extra/ package and AUR PKGBULID use the same source repo, but it's possible that the git package has some additional fixes (since libnfc 1.8.0 was released ~six years ago). It may be worth opening a bug report against Arch's package, perhaps a fix can be identified and backported.
Mod note: moving to Apps and DEs.
