While still staying up-to-date with the beryl trunk in the unstable repository, I made builds for the first release candidate of the upcoming 0.2 release. These will eventually go to [extra] once 0.2 has been released.

Thanks!
I found these to work much better than the SVN buids.

Are there any differences between this and SVN version?
Offline
There are. SVN is always the last snapshot and ultimately bleeding edge. 0.1.9999.1 focusses on getting 'stable' for the 0.2-release, which is the next milestone of the Beryl project.

I undestand that, but I asked about differences like new plugins etc. sorry for unclear question.
Now I just installed Beryl 0.1.9999.1 and...
- it starts every time I log into XFCE (on SVN I had to kill beryl-manager sometimes and run it again)
- it's more stable, I didn't notice any fall-backs
So thanks for this build ![]()

Desktop Wall isnt included, but that plugin is far from complete and doesnt work right yet anyway.
IMO, anyway.

brain0: can you please remove the nolibtool option from the aquamarine PKGBUILDs, as the kcontrol module needs kcm_beryl.la
thanks

hm, i dont know why these packages require some stuff from testing...
here are some packages & pgkbuilds that work with current:
binary packages (SVN 2007-22-02) (i will not update this)
beryl, emerald pkgbuilds + aquamarine + vidcap + seom (all from SVN) + build script
if you want to build it from source, just untar the beryl-build.tar.bz2 to /var/abs and start beryl_build.sh
EDIT: oops, i didnt see the packages in unstable as i build beryl from source for a long time now, so no offence here ![]()

My packages do not require anything from testing. The only thing they still need is seom-svn from unstable, the rest is in current and extra.
Furthermore, your packages are svn, not 0.2rc2, which differ considerably.

really, i should have read your README before trying to install them ![]()
i had this "issue" with beryl-settings-bindings-0.1.9999.2-2.pkg.tar.gz that depends on python >= 2.5, but your readme clearly says that this package is only for /testing and not /current...
i just thought that this must be a "newer" version without reading further, so sorry about that...
