Ipod Works! Yes!

No one probably cares, but I just plugged my ipod in through usb, installed gtkpod, added an entry for it in fstab, and it works! Been adding songs, deleting songs, doing everything easier than it ever was in Windows with Itunes. And I can play the songs straight from the ipod, which is useful.
Now if only it would stop telling me 'Do Not Disconnect'

...I was expecting having to spend hours getting it working

Re: Ipod Works! Yes!

well, looks like i'm stuck with that do not disconnect message for now. But I assume that it doesn't matter as long as the ipod is unmounted? hmm
Would I just put a how-to here in this thread? Or somewhere else, and this is only for USB, most people use it through firewire I think.

aye, I got all the linux ipod type pages in my favourites. The most useful thing was the gktpod documentation.
