kernel 2.6.20 and battery status

Hi,
I have question regarding Arch kernel patches. Vanilla kernel 2.6.20 no longer supports battery status (or mechanism is changed). In contrast, kernel 2.6.20-ARCH still provides "classic" AC/battery status mechanism and it works nicely in KDE.

What patches should I apply to vanilla kernel to enable again battery status support?
