Is it possible to merge two partitions?

Hi guys!

Someone can show me how to merge two partitions on the same harddrive with gparted? OBviusly if is it possible... tongue

Well... one whay to go would be if you own an external hd and copy all the content of the two partitions, then delete them, and make a new parition of the new free space. (Remeber not to have the disks mounted while repartitioning)

Best way to repartition hdd - get spare hdd, backup stuff, cfdisk

I think it is possible to resize partitions using GnuParted. One rather time-consuming and risky thing you could do is to resize the smaller partition to be just big enough to hold the data on it, then resize the larger one to take up the free space, move as much data as possible from the smaller partition to the larger, and repeat until all data is moved.
