HI,
my USB Printer does not work. It's a Canon PIXMA iP2200
I use CUPS with the TurboPrint drivers. If I trie to print a testpage I get this message but nothing happens
USB printer is busy; will retry in 5 seconds...
The device (URI) in CUPS and turboprint is
usb://Canon/iP2200
I know that the printer works, cause a few months ago it worked fine.
I installed latest CUPS and turboprint, but same error.

plugging in the printer after everything has booted does not work for me.
any other ideas?
p.s.
I like Arch, but this problem forces me to mount my winXP partition, copy the files to print to it, and boot WinXP to print. And don't want the needed Applicatios (e.g. Office) on my Windows-Installation, cause I use it only as a Harddisk-Recording-System and some other little music apps (e.g. Power Tab Editor).

yes, I know, and played with the settings, but the printer won't print anything.

I just restored my Gentoo-Backup and the printer works with TurboPrint 1.95-2 and CUPS 1.2.8
Any ideas why in Arch the printer doesn't work?
edit:
Maybe the kernel? In Gentoo it's a 2.6.19 kernel...
edit:
finaly it woks!
the problem was that the package "ghostscript" wasn't installed
