licenses

I'm a bit confused about what to do with licenses. The wiki says to put custom licenses in /usr/share/licenses/$pkgname/

I've been told to put them in /usr/share/licenses/custom/$pkgname/ and I've seen some packages in current repo that do that as well.

Shouldn't there just be one standard way?

I've asked on the TUR ML as I'm not really sure myself. I'll post back when it'll be clarified.
