Had a question about linux

I was wondering, do I download all six things that you download with bittorent to install linux?

No. All you need is one of the .iso files.

1. - 3 are for i686, and the other 3 for 64 bit processor.
2. arch-0.7.2.iso cd contains all packages from current repo
arch-0.7.2-base.iso contains only base system packages (no graphic envoirement etc)
and arch-0.7.2-ftp.iso contains only installer.
The advantage of the second and third cd is that you don't download things you don't want, and you install fresh versions of packages.
