how come I can't find openoffice 2.1 in the testing repo?

Today I saw that openoffice package was replaced by openoffice-devel. The description says "Renamed openoffice package to openoffice-devel in preparation for the next openoffice update in extra.". So we can expect openoffice 2.2 in extra? Isn't going to be maintained in AUR anymore?

for x86_64 it's already in extra. we are just preparing the 2.2.0 release. it will be built for both archs this time.

I'm happy to learn that.
Because I was afraid of the 8GB HD space/10hours necessary to build the package from AUR PKGBUILD.
Thanks for that.

Just to let you know I have OpenOffice-2.1-sdk/odk with finnish spell checking and hyphenation packages in my repo. http://www.kotikone.fi/purch Both i686 and x86_64 are supported.
Minor issue in my oo package is I forgot to put conflicts=('openoffice-base') to PKGBUILD. Provides array is there and so remove openoffice-base before using this sdk/odk package. Otherwise they are ok and working.
I will update after oo-2.2 is out for both platforms. I hope hussam is able to do oo-sdk-2.2, so I dont have to

we have already OOo 2.2.0 in x86_64 repos now.
can you tell me what the sdk/odk part exactly provides and what for you need it? just a question: shouldn't it be possible to build it using the offivial PKGBUILD from cvs adding sdk part and making an additional package?

Only the compile of the openoffice-voikko requires sdk part. http://voikko.sourceforge.net/source-linux.html
Atm I have to provide openoffice-2.1 too, because there is no such in repos or AUR anymore.

Works niece so far, but please lets remove this ugly xp-like splash screen. Just use the default spalsh from oo.
