Thunar behaviour...

By default, dragging and dropping a directory into another seems to 'copy' the files instead of move them.

Any way of changing this around.

I am aware of the right-click drag and drop but more times than not it doesn't quite drop correctly, or just highlights the directory i'm trying to put stuff into after i've spent a while selecting which files i want to go in. Rather frustrating!

Cheers if you can help smile

Re: Thunar behaviour...

Left dragging stuff with in the same partition will move on release. Left drag selected files and press shift before releasing the left mouse button and it will move the selected files instead of copying them.

It would be nice to have left drag to always copy files and left drag + shift would move or opposite.

Re: Thunar behaviour...

Cheers guys. It appears that my software RAID setup invokes a copy, even when moving files within that array.

Doesn't matter - the shift solution is good enough!

Cheers
