I use Arch on my laptop, and that often means I am using it where there is no network available. I find it terribly annoying when booting up my computer that the system hangs for about 20 seconds on "Configuring Network Interface".
My research revealed that there is a timeout somewhere in the network configuration that can be set so that the system won't stall so long looking for a non-existent network.
I searched the forums, wiki and google for a solution to this problem but the first two came up empty and the google results were confusing.
If anyone can point me to the configuration file I need to look at it would be greatly appreciated.

Perhaps you just could add @ before network daemon in /etc/rc.conf. That way you won't have to wait for it before continuing.

Awesome! Works great, and probably a better solution anyway
