This is really two issues in one. Sorry if this is in the wrong section, this was the only one I thought matched.
Hey I am trying to "edit" the arch .8 beta2 cd to add madwifi so that I can do a net install using my wifi card. The problem is that the kernel in the iso (the one that starts up) is older than the madwifi modules in the repo (I think). Does anyone have the modules that correspond to the kernel in the iso. Or any other suggestions?
I also want to add the beyond kernel and the nvidia and madwifi drivers to the cd "repository" so that I can have them installed as well so that I don't have to go through and manually install them later. Is this a matter of simply editing the /arch/pkg/setup/packages file to include those packages ("kernels/kernel26<versionnumber>.pkg.tar.gz")
and then adding those packages to the /arch/pkg/ folder? Or is it more complicated then that?
Edit: Nevermind the part about adding packages to the setup/package text file, I just found the wiki page which says to run gensync which I can't since arch isn't installed.

You could do a net install using a live CD which supports your wifi card (there's a wiki page somewhere).

Whoa, I didn't know that. Nice. I was really impatient though and just went ahead and just added the packages to the cd so that I could use the cd after the install to install my packages. I'll try that next time though.
