I did and now I have problems with amarok which works before:

KLibLoader could not load the plugin:
libamarok_xine-engine
Error message:
libtunepimp.so.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Re: testing - tunepimp

You could always resort back to the old one then, this is a testing version. i.e. remove testing from pacman.conf or just downgrading and holding at the level that works till everything is set up the way you want.

testing/tunepimp 0.5.3-1

extra/tunepimp 0.4.1-1

Re: testing - tunepimp

Or even simpler just create a symbolic link from libtunepimp.so.5 to libtunepimp.so.3.

I figured this last was more what you were looking for so I ran some tracks using the ln -s I created of it to see how stable it was. No crashes, just don't foret to restart the xine engine in settings.

You can always remove it later.

Re: testing - tunepimp

The amarok package that you are using needs to be rebuilt against tunepimp. The symlink isn't a proper solution.

Are you using the latest amarok in testing? If no, install it or either rebuild amarok or downgrade tunepimp. If yes, submit a bug report.

Re: testing - tunepimp

Happens with testing Amarok and testing tunepimp. Lumiwa are you going to file it? If not I will file, I figure no need for duplicates...

Re: testing - tunepimp

I confirm hacosta is right a reinstall corrected the issue. Pacman was kind enough to tell me my old one was corrupted as well.

I did same but I had the same error too:
KLibLoader could not load the plugin:
libamarok_xine-engine
Error message:
libtunepimp.so.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Mine is from Testing.

Re: testing - tunepimp

Did you

Pacman -S amarok-base

or

pacman -S amarok-base amarok-engine-xine.

Mine forced me to do the second which makes sense. Using testing as well.
