XFCE How do I start applcations on different Screens

Ok this may not be the best place, but I have asked over at XFCE as well.

How do I start different applications in different screens when I start XFCE?  is it even possible?

At the moment I start sylpheed by adding the line

/usr/bin/sylpheed &

to .xinitrc, but I also would like to start firefox on screen 2. Is this possible??

TIA

What exactly do you mean by "screen"? A virtual desktop window or the real screen (and display) as in X config?

Re: XFCE How do I start applcations on different Screens

Then AFAIK there is no such utility in base xfce packages. You can use kde's kstart (not a perfect solution since you probably use xfce for it's simplicity and small size :-)) or you can use one of xfce's goodies called devil's pie. Now frankly I have no idea how this works because I'm not using it. But I've found about it searching xfce forums:

Unfortunatelly there is some problem with
http://xfce-goodies.berlios.de/ and I can't view it.

Here is a direct link to Devil's pie homepage

and xfce goodies link from google's cache

I think you can request a package if you can't make it yourself. That's all I know for now :-) I hope this helps.
