[solved] gajim and wifi

Hello!
Recently I've bought WAP for my dell 9400 laptop. And I realised that using wireless connection and using gajim don't work - can't connect to jabber server. If I run psi, connect to server, then close psi and run gajim, all works perfectly. If I use wired connection, gajim also works.
What can I do with it?

Re: [solved] gajim and wifi

Maybe because gajim uses network-manager to guess the online/offline state.
I have no problem with it.

PS: The package is flagged out-of-date since a while. Can't we do anything ?

Well, I tried svn version from AUR and I have the same issue. Could you tell me what is network-manager?

OK, I looked at these packages (networkmanager, knetworkmanager and gnome-network-manager). I don't want to install them, it seems for me it's a bug in gajim if network manager is optional. I have posted a ticket..

Re: [solved] gajim and wifi

you can disable the use of networkmanager in gajim in the advanced preferences.
but i don't think that it should cause any problems..

Re: [solved] gajim and wifi

Disabling doesn't help.
I think that problem is in ipv6. I found a bug in gajim tracker, where said that gajim works only with ipv6. And my wireless connection doesn't work with ipv6 and seamonkey (it's a common bug, as I can understand). This issue will be fixed in gajim 0.12 and I will see happens with mine.

Re: [solved] gajim and wifi

I found the issue. I had gateway of my ADSL router in /etc/resolv.conf and it seems it didn't work for gajim. After I put into my network profile the DNS servers for my provider it worked. So I mark the topic with the "solved" tag.
