starting application on a preferred screen

hi,

i was wonder if it's at all possible to start an application on a preferred screen with dual monitor.
right now i have a dual monitor setup, 1 is an lcd monitor and the other one is an lcd tv (which i mainly use for watching tv)
what i want to do is.

1. hit the power button on a remote control (calling irexec to run mythfrontend)
2. mythfront end load on the lcd tv

and pretty much all multimedia apps will run off teh lcd tv.  right now if i want to run anything on the lcd tv, i'd have to move the mouse over to that screen and run the program from there.

any way i can do this?

thanks

Re: starting application on a preferred screen

i dunno if it helps ... but if you can config ur monitors to use separate v/c then you could use somethig like .. `startx`

startx /usr/bin/command args -- :2

to start a program with it's args on display 2 ... for this i usually jsut use :9 then it defaults to the next avaialable screen
