dvd and hal

Hi,

Firstly, sorry for my poor English...
I was trying configure gnome to open totem automatically when I insert a dvd on the system, but it is not work, nothing
happen... If I try open totem manually and open the dvd, appears a error message from hal about AccessDenied. Does anyone
know how correctly setup this?

Thanks

Re: dvd and hal

pacman -S libdvdnav libdvdread libdvdcss totem-xine gstreamer0.10-plugins
gpasswd -a <username> optical
reboot

Thats what I do to play DVD's on a clean install

Re: dvd and hal

Great! Many thanks, it worked fine, but i need add the user to group storage.
Now, I'd like to open totem automatically when the dvd is inserted. I configurated
gnome-volume-manager to do this, but it isn't working. Searching on internet,
I saw in some ubuntu discussions forums that your user must be in group "plugdev",
but this group is not present in Arch. Any idea?
