I have a thinkpad 1161 series from IBM and i want to install (if it is possible) Arch linux on that notebook.
Am i able to use Arch linux on that pc?
I just only want to use it for office and internet.
There is a 64mb sdr sdram, a 5gb hard disk and a 500mhz processor in it.
Can you guys help me out?

Probably. Arch is built for Pentium II and up (i686), so your processor meets the requirements.
Your low amount of RAM is going to prevent you from running Gnome or KDE at a reasonable speed. A more minimal window manager like Openbox should work well. You can also give XFCE a shot.
OpenOffice would also crawl. Abiword and Gnumeric are quite a bit lighter and should do well for light office work.
