bcm43xx is pretty unstable. I get disconnected often too. Reloading module helps

Are you effectively using it, or you just switched back to ndiswrapper ?

FWIW, me too...using ndiswrapper now and much more stable on a Debian Etch laptop.

I spotted an announcement on distrowatch about the latest release of SimplyMEPIS - reading news on their site, there appears to be quite a bit of expertise about bcm43xx so it may be worth looking at there: http://www.mepis.org/node/13211
